Double Page Spread Evaluation

My Double Page Spread appeals to my target audience (15-24) because:
  • The artist is of a similiar age so this is effective for getting an audience as they aspire to be her or be with her.
  • The language in the text is basic and not sophisticated. It is an easy read and quite easy to follow.
  • The topic of the talk is quite chatty and relatable.
  • The text is colourful and bright so it attracts the attention of the reader.
My Double Page Spread features the following conventions:
  • A title so the reader knows what the article is about.
  •  A puff showing that the magazine loves the featured artist.
  • A personal close image that readers can associate with.

My Double Page Spread features the following codes:
  • More than one large bit of text.
  • More than one colour to brighten things up.
  • Not using a capital letter at the beginning of the introduction.
  • A long introduction so the reader can get a feel for the audience.

If I were to redo my Double Page Spread, I would:
  • Use a clearer font to make the text easier to read.
  • Use a capital letter at the beginning of my paragraph to make it clearer.
  • Use more images to create a montage of the artist.
  • Make the important bits stand out more.
  • Write more for the article and less for the introduction.
