My Double Page Spread appeals to my target audience (15-24) because:
- The artist is of a similiar age so this is effective for getting an audience as they aspire to be her or be with her.
- The language in the text is basic and not sophisticated. It is an easy read and quite easy to follow.
- The topic of the talk is quite chatty and relatable.
- The text is colourful and bright so it attracts the attention of the reader.
- A title so the reader knows what the article is about.
- A puff showing that the magazine loves the featured artist.
- A personal close image that readers can associate with.
My Double Page Spread features the following codes:
- More than one large bit of text.
- More than one colour to brighten things up.
- Not using a capital letter at the beginning of the introduction.
- A long introduction so the reader can get a feel for the audience.
If I were to redo my Double Page Spread, I would:
- Use a clearer font to make the text easier to read.
- Use a capital letter at the beginning of my paragraph to make it clearer.
- Use more images to create a montage of the artist.
- Make the important bits stand out more.
- Write more for the article and less for the introduction.
